Ears feeling blocked, irritated or uncomfortable? Ear wax could be the cause.

Ear wax plays an important role in protecting your ears, but an excess buildup can cause uncomfortable symptoms and affect how clearly. You may benefit from ear wax removal if you experience:

-
Blocked or full sensations in your ears
-
Itchiness or irritation inside the ear canal
-
Reduced or muffled hearing
-
Ear pressure or general discomfort
-
Tinnitus (ringing, buzzing, or whooshing sounds)
-
Difficulty using earbuds or hearing aids comfortably

If you wear hearing aids, excess wax can also interfere with device performance, cause feedback whistle, and make hearing much more difficult.
Microsuction is a safe and gentle technique that removes excess ear wax using a fine suction probe while the ear canal is viewed directly. This allows for accurate wax removal with minimal discomfort.
Â
Unlike traditional methods, no water is used during the procedure.

Ear Here offers in clinic and home visit microsuction appointments.

Ear Here offers comprehensive, diagnostic APD assessments for children and adults using the Buffalo Model, an internationally recognised assessment approach for evaluating auditory processing skills. Assessments are available in our One Health Clinic suite in Cairns, and online Australia wide.
